Overcast in the morning, cool northerly wind, some brief brighter periods in the afternoon.
THE PELETON - John, Andy, Derek, Pete, Paula, Mike and myself made a late start at a fairly sedate pace.
After coffee the pace picked up for another 18 miles or so, we stopped for lunch just outside Thurso at 43 miles.
We then took the longer route out to Dunnet Head, which is the most Northern part of Scotland.
Andy & John (Two of the campers) were first to finish they took the shorter route.
THE PELETON rode in together
The stage was quite hilly to start with but flattened out on reaching Caithness.
At the moment I have no regrets about taking on the full round trip.
In case anyone is under the illusion that peleton has been miss-spelt - we are THE PELETON - not the peloton they have on the Grand Tours.
CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYONE - ALL 14 OF US HAVE NOW COMPLETED OUR GOAL BY RIDING FROM LANDS END TO JOHN O'GROATS.
Counties - Sutherland - Caithness.
