Very cold, very wet with the wind blowing the rain into our faces.
The temperature was showing 6.2 C going over the Severn Bridge.
Four of us were led by John, we rode in his slip stream for most of the day, making riding much easier for the followers.
Derek steamed up through Cheddar Gorge as though it was a flat road (See 24.9 miles on the graph above).
Andy completed the stage in fine style, inspite of having to put up with me snoring all night.
Pete has found his own remedy for saddle soreness, he fills a bath with freezing cold water then sits in it, he said "My backside must be wondering what it is going to do to me next".
There are cycle paths across the Avonmouth Bridge and the Severn which are both toll free.
There are no outdoor photos today as conditions are to wet.
All riders completed the stage - a day that we will always remember!.
