Cold and spitting with rain in the morning - sunshine and perfect riding conditions in the afternoon.
We came through Cheddar and up the Gorge but the climb is far less than we have been doing.
This is not a route to take if you are interested in a quick time but it is very enjoyable and you see the countryside from a totally different view point and of course you have far more time on a bike to take in your surroundings.
Tricky navigation through cycle paths in and around Bristol.
There are cycle paths across the Avonmouth Bridge and the Severn which are both toll free.
I find the reading the directions a little confusing at times and would be stopping a lot more were it not for Jon, he seems to be able to read most of it on the move.
I have not had an opportunity to clean my bike yet, we have stayed in excellent accomodation so far and I would not be popular washing a muddy oily bike in their driveway or forecourt.
We have crossed Avon and are now in Wales.
