Yesterdays forecast was fairly accurate, quite a long period of rain to start the day, then periods on and off throughout the day.

The wind was a major factor a headwind 5-6 blowing all day, gusting up to 50mph, it was very exposed on Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor but off the moors high banks and hedges did help but pedalling downhill was sometimes like pedalling uphill on a normal day.

The sun never appeared all day temperatures on the moors were in single figures but only rising to 13 C off the moors.

Four long major climbs and numerous steep ascents and descents across the valleys (The biggest ascent of any day of the tour).

Our base is Lanlivery which is another 3 miles of steep climb after Lostwithiel (Not shown on the graph).

I did not bother to take my camera with me today!

It was Steve's (Bike Adventures) turn to have bike problems today, he had a snake bite puncture and in the process broke his carbon fibre seat post, fortunately he had a spare in the van, which fitted but it put the saddle at the wrong angle, so he had an uncomfortable ride back to base.

All riders completed the course.
