A strong Southwesterly wind made progress very slow, the forecast rain did not materialise apart from the odd shower.
There was sunny spells throughout the day but the temperature remained fairly low.
This was the longest stage of the trip, two major climbs but nothing very steep
Everyone was keen to get away early because rain was expected but we needed that early because of the headwind.
All riders completed the stage except for Steve(Bike Adventures) who was supposed to be sweeper, he was allegedly unwell but we all think he quit because the wind was too strong!
